About the position

The Instructional Designer at Lions Clubs International is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, distribution, and evaluation of leadership development and job-specific learning programs. This role focuses on creating web-based, instructor-led, and blended learning resources using methodologies like ADDIE. The designer will collaborate with various teams to enhance the learning experience for Lions leaders and volunteers globally.

Responsibilities

  • Apply ADDIE or similar models to create learning solutions for adult learners.
  • Design content focused on developing leadership and role-specific skills for Lions leaders and volunteers.
  • Create realistic learning objectives for the audience.
  • Design instructional materials for traditional courses, online programs, and web-based learning aids.
  • Participate in blended learning project teams and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with faculty and colleagues to analyze instructional outcomes and enhance learning experiences.
  • Review and edit translated curriculum materials for accuracy.
  • Conduct needs analysis of curriculum and assess program effectiveness.
  • Design and lead webinars and in-person meetings for faculty and staff orientation.
  • Prepare reports to communicate and evaluate information regarding programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources as necessary.
  • Lead strategic planning and content development for assigned programs.
  • Coordinate communications with program teams and other departments to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Liaise with faculty teams to ensure understanding of training program content and roles.
  • Prepare monthly reports as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience designing and developing instructor-led training for adults (in-person and virtual).
  • Experience in designing curriculum for soft skills and leadership development is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally; approximately 5-10% travel time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing blended learning programs.
  • Familiarity with curriculum evaluation and assessment methods.
