About the position

The Instructional Designer Intern at ABB offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in creating technical training solutions. This role focuses on developing various training materials, including online content and instructor-led delivery, to support ABB's business objectives. Interns will collaborate with other designers and subject matter experts to enhance training programs while acquiring valuable skills in instructional design and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical training solutions for ABB Electrification Installation Products to internal and external users.
• Creates and maintains online e-learning, how-to videos, webinar content, and face-to-face training materials.
• Assists in the needs assessment process and suggests improvements for training programs.
• Collaborates with other Instructional Designers and subject matter experts to develop train-the-trainer materials.
• Storyboards and develops accessible technical solutions based on customer needs.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in relevant fields such as Teaching, Instructional Design, or Business Management.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop solutions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
• Experience with instructional design tools and methods.
