About the position

The Instructional Designer Intern position at ABB offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in creating technical training solutions. Interns will work on various projects that support ABB's operations while enhancing their personal education and employment opportunities. The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and the development of instructional materials to improve training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides ABB Electrification Installation Products technical training solutions to internal, external, and end users.
• Responsible for all assigned product training requirements, including online e-learning, how-to-videos, webinar content, virtual classroom content, and face-to-face content creation.
• Assists in the needs assessment process and makes suggestions to improve design, creation, innovation, and updates of training programs or materials.
• Collaborates with other Instructional Designers and subject matter experts in the development of train-the-trainer materials.
• Requires ability to storyboard and develop easily accessible and understood technical solutions based on application and specific customer needs.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Teaching, Training, Educational/Learning Technologies, Instructional Design, Masters in Education, Business Administration/ Business Management, Organizational Management, Human Resources or Marketing Management.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
