About the position

The Instructional Designer Intern position at ABB offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in developing technical training solutions for the Electrification Business. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals to create and enhance training materials, including online content and instructor-led delivery resources, while contributing to ABB's mission of sustainable solutions through collaboration and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provides ABB Electrification technical training solutions to internal, external, and end users.
• Responsible for all assigned product training requirements, including online e-learning, how-to-videos, webinar content, virtual classroom content, and face-to-face content creation, as well as maintenance, improvements, and updates as needed.
• Assists in the needs assessment process and makes suggestions to improve design, creation, innovation, and updates of training programs or materials.
• Collaborates with other Instructional Designers and subject matter experts in the development of train-the-trainer materials enhancing the demonstration of delivery concepts and improving the customer journey.
• Requires ability to storyboard and develop easily accessible and understood technical solutions based on application and specific customer needs.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in instructional design, engineering, or related field in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
