About the position

The Instructional Designer/Learning & Development role is focused on delivering high-quality learning materials and supporting the administration of the HCSC Learning Management System (LMS). The position requires collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and deploy various training solutions, including web-based and instructor-led training, while ensuring adherence to aggressive timelines.

Responsibilities

• Deploy high-quality learning deliverables against aggressive timelines.
• Support various administrative functions associated with the HCSC Learning Management System (LMS).
• Liaise with service partner SumTotal and attend weekly team meetings to provide updates on LMS-specific activity.
• Run LMS reports and perform testing/quality controls.
• Migrate content and data from other LMS environments as needed.
• Collaborate with SMEs to collect content for training solutions and obtain approval of completed solutions.
• Package and configure learning activities for use in the SumTotal LMS.
• Develop and deploy interactive/multimedia SCORM learning activities in the LMS.
• Create embedded media for use in SCORM learning activities.
• Create and modify custom SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 manifests.
• Edit/format learning and user data with Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

• 5 years of instructional design and development experience is required.
• Educational background in adult learning, human capital, or business consulting.
• Expert in instructional design with a thorough knowledge of adult learning concepts.
• Expert in developing interactive web-based training in Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
• Experience with LMS and SCORM.

Nice-to-haves

• 8 years of experience as an instructional designer (preferred).
• Experience with Adobe Captivate (1 year required).
