About the position

The Instructional Designer role at Comcast focuses on developing digital learning experiences for Xfinity Growth, Innovation, & Experience (XGIE) and Comcast Business. The position involves collaborating with key stakeholders to create learning assets that align with business strategies, utilizing various authoring tools and methodologies to enhance learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in learning content development and design using authoring tools and media.
  • Collaborate with peers to build effective learning and performance support materials.
  • Participate in working sessions with leaders and SMEs to design and develop learning initiatives.
  • Communicate learning product development progress to partners and iterate based on feedback.
  • Create inclusive learner experiences adhering to global accessibility standards.
  • Develop e-learning, virtual, and in-person learning materials following internal guidelines.
  • Execute deliverables such as prototypes, storyboards, and content strategy documents.
  • Apply Agile/Scrum methodology to co-create products and improve iteratively.
  • Prioritize and plan project tasks, monitoring progress and documenting issues.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of experience in instructional design or a related field.
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Degree or Certification in programming or Instructional Design.
  • General LMS experience, with Workday preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop learning products in various formats.
  • Foundational knowledge in Camtasia, Articulate 360, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Portfolio of examples of digital work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prompt engineering experience.
  • Intermediate technical and coding skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and models.
