About the position

The Instructional Designer & Media Coordinator at Hunter College's Center for Online Learning is responsible for supporting faculty in the design and implementation of engaging online learning solutions. This role involves utilizing various educational technologies to enhance hybrid, HyFlex, and online courses, ensuring accessibility and best practices in course design. The position aims to expand educational technology services to meet the diverse needs of students in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty and departments with the design and implementation of undergraduate hybrid, HyFlex, and online courses and programs.
• Recommend best practices for flexibility and accessibility of course material.
• Support faculty with the use of apps, videos, augmented reality/virtual reality tools, and generative AI platforms in the classroom.
• Ensure consistency and efficiency in course design and technology adoption while investigating new technologies and pedagogies.
• Provide course quality reviews for best instructional practices and accessibility.
• Provide training opportunities to faculty and research current trends in online learning.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting instructional design of undergraduate or graduate hybrid, HyFlex, and online courses.

Nice-to-haves
