The Instructional Designer - Production Coding position is a full-time remote role that supports the Professional Production Coding Team. The primary focus of this role is to define the educational needs of new and existing team members, and to design educational programs that align with adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. The designer will present recommendations regarding course design, technology, and appropriate instructional delivery options, which may include classroom courses, e-learning, virtual conferences, and desk-side training. In this role, the designer will be responsible for ensuring that all educational programs have clearly defined learning objectives, accurate content, and are documented according to established standards. This includes completing all research, writing, and design instructions associated with each educational program, such as learner manuals and facilitator guides for instructor-led classes. The designer will also provide comprehensive "train the trainer" sessions for all trainers who will present the material, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver the content effectively. The position may involve developing engaging e-learning courses that utilize graphics, videos, simulations, and animations, as well as converting instructor-led training programs into virtual solutions. The designer will maintain and update existing e-learning courses, ensuring they adhere to department design standards, including branding guidelines and accessibility requirements. Regular assessments of educational programs will be conducted to evaluate their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. The designer will engage in professional dialogue with trainers and establish meetings with key departments to gather feedback and explore new training opportunities. Additionally, the designer may be required to maintain an up-to-date project dashboard and participate in internal team meetings, contributing to the overall success of the educational initiatives within the organization.
