About the position

The Instructional Designer role at TEKsystems involves planning and managing instructional design projects within a Fortune 100 Financial Institution. The position focuses on developing tailored instructional courses to meet the learning needs of Navy Federal and its employees, utilizing various techniques to enhance training effectiveness and performance levels.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and assist trainers on course evaluation results.
  • Collaborate with others to plan and design courses and curricula; ensure accuracy of content and test multimedia elements.
  • Conduct needs assessment on request from business unit management to provide customized training or individual guidance to improve and develop performance.
  • Create and edit new LMS learning activities; set up required training assignments in LMS; create custom LMS reports.
  • Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies including references and support tools that reinforce training, increase efficiency, and help produce error-free work.
  • Develop and test course content, training games, graphic designs, and other technology-driven products.

Requirements

  • Technical skill set is most important, including proficiency in E-Learning, Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, and Camtasia.
  • Ability to digest complex information and work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Experience with technical training programs is essential.
  • Professional portfolio link to review is a plus but not required; work samples are good.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the mortgage industry is a plus but not required.
  • Experience at other financial institutions.
