The Service Instructional Designer for Cytiva is responsible for designing the learning activities and content for our service organization and driving the service training approach for assigned content development projects. This position is part of the Global Service Training Design Team located in the United States and will be remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop engaging, task-based content where the learner frequently interacts with the materials. You will work in cross-functional teams with global SMEs and stakeholders to develop content collaboratively, with precision, speed, and transparency. Additionally, you will create or leverage existing media assets, perform image/graphics manipulation/optimization, and modify design layouts to suit the content.

Responsibilities

  • Design learning activities and content for the service organization.
  • Drive the service training approach for assigned content development projects.
  • Develop engaging, task-based content for learners.
  • Collaborate with global SMEs and stakeholders to develop content.
  • Create or leverage existing media assets and perform image/graphics manipulation/optimization.
  • Modify design layouts to suit the content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in Instructional Design/Development or equivalent experience using adult learning principles, methods, theories, and techniques for global audiences OR Associates degree and 5+ years in similar experience.
  • Mastery of standard content development tools including Articulate 360, Microsoft Office, Camtasia, Captivate, and at least one online presentation tool (e.g., WebEx, Zoom, Adobe Connect).
  • Ability to comprehend technical product training content.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of technical products, preferably Life Sciences industry related.
  • Understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, node.js, web service development tools, and API concepts.
  • Voiceover artistry capabilities, with appropriate pacing, clear annunciation, and pronunciation.
