As an Instructional Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative learning content that empowers learners and instructors alike. Our commitment to providing high-quality learning solutions is at the forefront of our mission, and we are looking for an experienced professional who can apply their instructional design expertise and human-centric approach to create engaging educational materials. In this role, you will be responsible for building commercial-quality learning content using industry-accepted instructional design processes. This includes developing webinar content, infographics, job aids, facilitator guides, and presentation decks that cater to both instructors and learners. You will also support our self-paced learning initiatives by creating and updating eLearning courses for desktop and mobile delivery, blended learning programs, and various digital training tools. Your ability to perform needs analysis and communicate development requirements effectively will be essential for ensuring transparency and accountability across all levels of the organization. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and your immediate team to gather information and determine the most effective learning methods. Your expertise will allow you to translate complex information into clear, practical, and engaging learning resources that meet desired learning objectives. Continuous assessment of training effectiveness and impact will be part of your responsibilities, along with potential participation in system administration and course maintenance within our Learning Management System (LMS).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement various learning content using instructional design processes.
  • Create webinar content such as infographics, job aids, facilitator guides, and presentation decks.
  • Support self-paced learning efforts by creating and updating eLearning courses and blended learning programs.
  • Perform needs analysis and communicate development requirements and progress to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather information and determine effective learning methods.
  • Translate complex information into clear and engaging learning resources.
  • Continuously assess training effectiveness and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Participate in system administration and course maintenance for the Learning Management System (LMS).

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience designing training for adult audiences in a professional environment.
  • Instructional design certificate from an industry recognized organization preferred.
  • Experienced in instructional design theory and/or learning principles (ADDIE, ARCS, Bloom's, etc.).
  • Strong training project management skills with an emphasis on needs analysis and execution.
  • Proficient in graphic/user interface/interactive design.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Premiere, InDesign, AfterEffects, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Articulate 360 (Storyline 360, Rise, Studio 360, Replay, etc.) and Camtasia.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Information Mapping/DocuTools Certification preferred.
  • Experience with online graphic design applications, such as Venngage, Canva, etc.
  • Knowledge of HTML, ActionScript, or application/gaming design.
