About the position

The Instructional Designer at Edward Jones is responsible for creating performance-based, interactive learning experiences that align with the business needs of the division and branch. This role involves collaborating with a team to analyze learning needs, design and develop content, and assess the effectiveness of learning programs, ensuring that associates and clients receive the best possible training and support.

Responsibilities

  • Produce performance-based, interactive learning experiences to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to design and develop learning content.
  • Adhere to project management processes and time estimates.
  • Lead sessions with SMEs and stakeholders to analyze training needs.
  • Select and recommend appropriate media and delivery methods for coursework.
  • Establish a process for regular audits of learning programs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead design efforts of learning programs from inception through evaluation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, education-related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 - 4 years in an instructional design/development position preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles required.
  • Strong knowledge of key instructional design concepts and practices.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Working knowledge of current online development tools preferred.
