About the position

The Instructional Designer/Trainer at Kaseware, Inc. is responsible for developing and executing training plans, materials, and classes to enhance the use of Kaseware products among internal users and integrators. This role focuses on creating a new certification program for Kaseware integrators and employees, while also reviewing feedback to improve training materials and identify further training opportunities. The position supports the company's mission to enhance law enforcement and corporate security through innovative training solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute training plans and materials for Kaseware products.
• Create a certification program for new Kaseware integrators and internal employees.
• Review trainee feedback to improve training materials and classes.
• Identify and develop additional software training opportunities.
• Maintain procedure documentation related to training and coordinate updates for software upgrades.
• Utilize advanced instructional design strategies to create innovative learning experiences.
• Own and maintain the Kaseware Learning Management System (LMS).
• Keep personal IT skills and knowledge up to date.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field (Adult Education, Computer Science, Business, or Engineering).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an instructional designer, technical trainer, or similar role.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Advanced technical skills and excellent documentation skills.
• Experience creating training materials and giving presentations.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience in use/administration of an LMS.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Training experience in public safety, law enforcement, CAD, and/or RMS.
