The Norland Group is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to develop training curriculum and eLearning solutions. This position is primarily remote, with a preference for local candidates in the Bay Area who may be required to attend team meetings approximately every six weeks. The role involves designing and developing various learning solutions, including eLearning, virtual, and instructor-led training for technical, compliance, systems, and soft skills concepts. The successful candidate will follow established instructional design methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content. In this role, you will define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments. A detailed analysis of each task to be trained or supported will be necessary, focusing on the target audience, business processes, and systems. You will adhere to company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials, which may include storyboards, eLearning modules, virtual learning, student and facilitator guides, activities, scenarios, assessments, and performance support materials. Additionally, you will visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions and write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts tailored to the target audience. Participation in meetings with subject matter experts will be essential, including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings. You will engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation, incorporating feedback as necessary. Self-management of assigned tasks and deadlines is crucial to complete deliverables, and proactive communication regarding issues and risks is expected.
