About the position

As the Instructional Designer for Training Programs at PPG, you will play a crucial role in designing visual tools that serve as resources for learning and development support. This position is fully remote, allowing you to collaborate with teams across various Aerospace manufacturing sites to create content that enhances workforce training and development. You will be responsible for supporting the Learning Management System (LMS), specifically Workday/Evolve, ensuring the retention of accurate training records across company locations. Your work will directly contribute to the training goals of Aerospace Learning, supporting employees through the development of standardized content across four key phases: onboarding, skills lab training, job qualification, and cross-training. In this role, you will create Quick Reference Guides (QRG) and informative guides aimed at streamlining employee workflows. You will also be tasked with building training content for the LMS and scheduling recurrent training sessions using various formats, including online learning, in-person classroom instruction, and learning manuals. A critical aspect of your job will involve understanding the relationships of data managed within the LMS, such as how job titles correlate with training requirements and the overall training experience for employees. You will define how individual components fit together to achieve desired outcomes, identifying gaps in learning content and determining necessary tools for development, all while considering the return on investment for the business. Additionally, you will support the site audit process and undertake special projects as assigned.
