Kaiva Tech, LLC is seeking an Instructional Designer (Training) to join our team in a hybrid work environment, which includes one day onsite and four days of telework, subject to change based on mission requirements. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing, designing, and delivering high-quality instructional materials and courses that facilitate effective learning experiences for employees. This role serves as the authoritative consultant on learning objectives, design methodologies, adult education, and curriculum and course design. The Instructional Designer plays a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's training programs and ensuring that they align with the organization's strategic goals. In this position, the Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives and content requirements. They will design and develop engaging, learner-centered instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, and multimedia presentations. It is essential that the content is clear, concise, and relevant to the target audience. The role also involves utilizing e-learning authoring tools and multimedia software to create interactive and engaging online courses, incorporating multimedia elements such as videos, animations, and simulations to enhance learning experiences. The Instructional Designer will create assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs, analyze assessment results to identify areas for improvement, and make necessary adjustments to content and delivery methods. Staying current with educational technology trends and tools is crucial to enhance the delivery of training materials. The designer will evaluate and recommend learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technology solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is necessary to ensure alignment of training materials with organizational goals, and working closely with project managers to meet project deadlines and budgets is expected. Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role, as the Instructional Designer will update and improve existing training materials to reflect changes in policy, technology, or best practices. Participation in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional design skills is also encouraged.
