About the position

The Instructional Designer (Workday) position at Tridvalidation involves designing and developing instructional materials and training programs to enhance learning outcomes within the organization. The role requires collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure that training aligns with organizational goals and learner needs. The position is contract-based and requires a hybrid work schedule, with in-office presence at least twice a week.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough Training Needs Assessments and Audience Analyses to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
  • Design and develop comprehensive, 508-compliant instructional materials, including course summary sheets, learning objectives, course outlines, storyboards, video scripts, job aids, and quick reference sheets.
  • Create online, interactive training materials in various formats, such as printable job aids, instructor-led (virtual and in-person), microlearning, videos, and eLearning courses.
  • Generate program interactive, SCORM-compliant webinars, microlearning, and full-length eLearning courses using eLearning authoring tools.
  • Develop and administer a variety of assessments, including quizzes, tests, simulations, and practical exercises, to measure learner progress and comprehension.
  • Analyze assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Accurately track and document the progress of instructional design projects, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Utilize project management tools to monitor timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure the accuracy and relevancy of learning materials.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand learning needs and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Periodically review and update curriculum and existing training content to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
  • Experience with SCORM-compliant course development and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong understanding of 508-compliance requirements and best practices for creating accessible learning materials.
  • Expertise in designing and developing comprehensive instructional materials.
  • Ability to create online, interactive training materials in various formats.
  • Experience in developing and administering a variety of assessments and analyzing assessment data.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g. ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proven ability to accurately track and document project progress.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using Workday for creating, managing, and delivering training programs.
  • Experience in leveraging Workday's Learning Management System (LMS) capabilities.
