About the position

The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in revamping and redesigning existing compliance content for a financial services company headquartered in San Diego. This position is 100% remote, but candidates must reside near one of the specified locations: San Diego, Austin, Charlotte, Boston, or Tempe, AZ. The role is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity, lasting for at least six months with the potential for extensions based on performance and business needs. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating and editing e-learning content, focusing on compliance training such as annual sexual harassment training and IT security training. This position requires a strong understanding of various instructional design technologies, including Articulate, Storyline, and Vyond, as the designer will be using these tools daily. The ideal candidate will be able to work within creative constraints while meeting strict deadlines and managing timelines effectively. This role is highly visible within the organization, providing an opportunity to support a critical area of the instructional design team.

Responsibilities

• Revamp and redesign existing compliance content for e-learning.
• Edit and create new e-learning modules using Articulate, Storyline, and Vyond.
• Work on projects related to annual sexual harassment training and IT security training.
• Manage timelines and ensure deadlines are met for all projects.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure content meets regulatory standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in instructional design or a related field.
