About the position

The Instructional Designer at EnergyCAP will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging instructional curriculum related to the company's energy and sustainability management products. This role involves assessing instructional needs, designing curriculum, developing materials, and conducting training sessions in various formats. The designer will collaborate closely with product development teams to ensure that training materials are current and effective, ultimately supporting both new and existing employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive programs covering product features, benefits, and usage.
• Produce instruction materials such as manuals, online learning modules, and instructional videos.
• Conduct training sessions in various formats, including workshops, webinars, and one-on-one sessions.
• Prepare EnergyCAP staff to use prepared materials to deliver compelling content to customers and prospects.
• Implement assessment tools to measure trainee progress and the effectiveness of training programs.
• Work with product managers, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure instruction design aligns with product development and market needs.
• Stay abreast of product updates, industry trends, and training best practices.
• Provide ongoing support and consultation to employees and customers regarding product questions and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, Communication, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience in training, instructional design, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of learning principles and training methodologies.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to design engaging and effective instruction materials.
• Proficiency in e-learning software and platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of the product or industry is a plus.
