The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience within the organization by partnering with both internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, to assess learning needs and recommend appropriate technology-based and blended solutions. This position involves designing and developing technology-based learning modules as well as paper-based instructional materials. The Instructional Designer will establish guidelines and standards for online course development, ensuring that all educational materials meet the highest quality standards and effectively engage learners. In this role, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for consulting and interacting with subject matter experts to assess technology needs, demonstrating strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The designer will collaborate with stakeholders to develop project goals, training objectives, and measurement strategies by analyzing needs and proposing multiple solutions. The position requires the ability to manage the implementation of projects, including work plans, resource scheduling, data collection, and software documentation, while supervising all phases of assigned projects. The Instructional Designer will also be tasked with evaluating program initiatives for effectiveness and feasibility, working closely with the Vice Chair for Medical Education to develop and implement projects that achieve blended learning technology throughout the institution. This includes ensuring that evaluation metrics are used to demonstrate quality improvement and return on investment (ROI). Additionally, the designer will be responsible for fostering a safe learning environment, promoting safety for patients, families, visitors, and co-workers, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
