About the position

Spectrum is seeking experienced Instructional Systems Designers to support customers in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The role involves working independently and collaboratively to provide professional and technical expertise in developing and maintaining formal curricula, interactive courseware, job aids, and computer-based training, ensuring compliance with instructional development standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and technical support for planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training course documents.
• Ensure developed curricula products meet all requirements established by NETC and are consistent throughout the domain.
• Interact with Course Supervisors, Subject Matter Experts, Instructional Systems Specialists, Training Specialists, and Curriculum Development Team members.

Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years' experience with Authoring Instructional Materials, Learning Object Module, and Content Planning Module.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in all phases of the instructional systems design process (planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, evaluation, and maintenance).
• Knowledge of NAVEDTRA 130 series documents to comprehend the NETC Course Development and Revision End-to-End Process.
• At least 3 years of experience in the design and development of curriculum for Instructor Led Training and Interactive Multimedia Instruction.
• Capability to compare task data from JDTA to existing training course document learning objectives to identify training gaps and redundancies.
