The Instructional Designer position at the North Carolina State Board of Elections is a vital role focused on creating engaging and effective learning experiences for a diverse audience. The primary purpose of the State Board of Elections is to supervise elections administration, enforce campaign finance requirements, and conduct associated investigations. Within this framework, the Learning Management and Operations unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive learning and development support, documentation, and operational assistance for the agency. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing a range of instructional materials, including eLearning modules, PowerPoint presentations, course assignments, and assessments. You will utilize templates to create job aids, user guides, and standard operating procedures, while also analyzing and refining existing instructional content to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Your role will also involve developing instructor's manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools, as well as creating modules and storyboards for various training programs. In addition to content creation, you will conduct training needs analyses and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update course content.
