About the position

The Instructional Designer at American First Finance is responsible for creating effective and engaging learning environments by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define course goals and develop instructional content. This role focuses on integrating innovative online and technology-enhanced components into various delivery modes, while also providing pedagogical training to team members and leadership through workshops and webinars.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to analyze learning needs and define learning objectives.
  • Develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules and instructor-led training materials, using instructional design principles.
  • Utilize e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate to create interactive e-learning modules.
  • Adapt instructional materials for different delivery modes such as classroom training and virtual classrooms.
  • Review and revise existing training materials for accuracy and alignment with learning objectives.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on instructional content for functionality and usability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of instructional material.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainers in delivering instructional content effectively.
  • Conduct evaluations of instructional materials and programs to assess effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as an instructional designer or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Proficiency in multimedia development tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Camtasia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in developing instructional content.
