About the position

The Instructional Designer at Changing Technologies, Inc. is responsible for developing instructional programs and materials that meet organizational goals and learner needs. This role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, creativity, and strong communication skills, as the designer will work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create effective training content.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Training Needs Assessments and Audience Analyses to identify learning objectives and performance gaps.
  • Design and develop 508-compliant instructional materials, including course outlines, storyboards, and job aids.
  • Create online, interactive training materials in various formats, such as eLearning courses and videos.
  • Develop assessments to measure learner progress and analyze data for program effectiveness.
  • Track project progress using management tools and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to align training programs with organizational goals.
  • Review and update curriculum to maintain relevancy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay current with trends in instructional design and adult learning theory.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Instructional Design or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
  • Experience with SCORM-compliant course development and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong understanding of 508-compliance requirements.
  • Ability to create diverse instructional materials and administer assessments.
  • Familiarity with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Workday's LMS and integrating eLearning tools.
  • Knowledge of gamification techniques and multimedia content creation.
