The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in developing engaging and effective multimedia learning solutions for our organization. This position is a remote, 9-18 month contract to hire opportunity, ideal for candidates with a strong background in instructional design. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing existing training resources and determining the necessary content adjustments to meet the current needs of the business. This involves applying expertise to write effective copy that is production-ready and free of errors in fact, style, or presentation, while ensuring compliance with brand, legal, and compliance standards. In this role, the Instructional Designer will be tasked with the development and editing of various instructional materials, including eLearning modules, infographics, motion graphic videos, and instructor-led classes. All materials must align with Discover's style and branding guidelines. The candidate will also need to effectively communicate with multimedia developers to translate design requirements into functional learning modules. Managing multiple instructional design projects simultaneously is a key aspect of this position, requiring strong organizational and project management skills. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and have a solid understanding of agile instructional design and development methodologies. Proficiency in tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and experience in storyboarding and project management are essential. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva for graphic design purposes is a plus, as is knowledge of WCAG standards for accessibility in learning materials.
