At Travel + Leisure Co., our mission is to put the world on vacation. We focus on vacation ownership, travel memberships, and exchange programs, shaping the future of leisure travel by creating new possibilities for vacationers. The Instructional Designer (Instructional Systems Designer/ISD) plays a crucial role in this mission by proactively reviewing training needs, presenting delivery media recommendations, and developing learning solutions to address performance gaps identified by our business partners. This position is essential in assisting in the development of our associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service to our customers. The ISD utilizes instructional design and performance improvement processes to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional materials and development programs. The deliverables for this role include a variety of instructional formats such as instructor-led training, blended learning, e-learning, and m-learning curricula, along with supporting job aids and other learning materials. Additionally, the ISD will create communication and reference materials and conduct Train the Trainer sessions for facilitators. This hybrid position requires in-office work on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with virtual work on Thursday and Friday. In this role, you will shine by designing multimedia courseware that meets the needs of Travel + Leisure Co.'s internal business clients, including Resort Operations and Corporate HR. You will develop course methods and materials that integrate various instructional approaches, ensuring that training is engaging and effective. Project management is a key aspect of this position, as you will manage multiple ISD projects supported by various Subject Matter Experts and content reviewers, executing deliverables within established time and budget parameters. Measurement and reporting are also critical, as you will design and deploy post-course assessments and provide actionable recommendations based on the results. As a facilitator, you will lead Train the Trainer sessions, ensuring that the materials developed are effectively communicated and understood by facilitators.
