Responsibilities

• Train faculty and students on how to use learning technologies.
• Assist in transforming face-to-face courses to an online format.
• Analyze, update, and refine current online content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to design online course content.
• Assist in editing online learning materials.
• Create student-engaged learning experiences and environments.
• Design learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
• Research innovative technologies and review current courses to optimize the learning process.
• Track the progress of course designs.
• Stay current on best practices in instructional design.
• Write scripts for video and audio content.
• Work with technical staff to troubleshoot problems.

Requirements

• Master's degree in instructional design, technology, educational design, or a related field, such as communication.
• Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment.
• Knowledge of Photoshop and Microsoft Office Software.
• Audio and video editing skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Good critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems.
• Understanding of web design best practices.
• Experience with design platforms, such as InDesign.
• Familiarity with course management systems such as Canvas.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines.
