About the position

As an Instructional Designer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a pivotal role in transforming intelligence analysis through effective training development. Your primary responsibility will be to create interactive courses that not only convey critical information but also engage learners in a meaningful way. This position requires a deep understanding of the needs of your customers, as you will work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture training requirements and advise on the most suitable learning solutions to meet their objectives. You will employ the ADDIE model to prepare comprehensive training materials, ensuring that the learner is at the center of the training experience. Your creativity and technical skills will be essential as you design performance support tools and recommend innovative multimedia technologies and strategies, including blended learning approaches, to foster a successful learning environment. Communication will be key in this role, as you will regularly meet with SMEs to discuss learning materials, incorporate feedback, and refine your training solutions. To measure the effectiveness of your training, you will utilize evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, allowing you to analyze results and make necessary adjustments for maximum impact. This position also offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, as you will mentor others and identify new opportunities to address your customers' learning needs. By leveraging your extensive experience in training methodologies, you will help shape a creative and engaging learning experience that enhances the capabilities of intelligence analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop interactive training courses that enhance intelligence analysis capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
  • Design performance support tools and prepare training materials using the ADDIE model.
  • Utilize multimedia technologies and blended learning strategies to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Collect and analyze training results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model.
  • Refine training programs based on feedback and evaluation results to ensure effectiveness.
  • Mentor and lead team members in instructional design best practices.
  • Identify new opportunities to develop solutions that meet customer learning needs.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in training course development, instruction, intelligence analysis, or military capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and national security concepts.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
