About the position

The position is part of the Ochsner Leadership Institute (OLI) and focuses on supporting the company's strategic initiatives by developing and implementing system-wide learning programs. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to create effective learning solutions that enhance leadership and professional development within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to inform curriculum development.
  • Interview subject matter experts and conduct research to develop instructional content.
  • Design and develop learning solutions for web-based, instructor-led, and blended formats using evidence-based practices.
  • Create performance and learning support materials such as manuals, guides, and job aids.
  • Assess the effectiveness of instruction and instructional technology use.
  • Present and facilitate trainings using various instructional techniques.
  • Observe and provide feedback on instructional techniques to in-house faculty.
  • Consult with internal customers on learning needs and course design recommendations.
  • Research and evaluate emerging instructional technologies or methods.
  • Provide analytical support for training curricula and educational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years of experience in Instructional Design or relevant corporate training experience.
  • Proficiency in authoring software such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Rapid E-Learning Studio.
  • Experience with graphics software like Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing software such as Adobe Premier or TechSmith Camtasia.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze instructional methods and select evidence-based practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with computer-based training software like SABA, Blackboard Learn, or Moodle.
  • Familiarity with network conferencing software such as Adobe Connect or Microsoft Office SharePoint.
