The University of Kentucky is seeking an Instructional Designer to join the College of Social Work (CoSW) team. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience by designing, developing, and delivering engaging learning experiences for students. The Instructional Designer will coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create innovative learning solutions that align with the college's mission of improving the human condition through rigorous research and excellence in instruction. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively to produce high-quality online courses and resources, ensuring that they meet accessibility standards and quality assurance processes. The position requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, particularly the ADDIE model, and the ability to implement universal design principles to create accessible learning experiences for all students, including those with disabilities. The Instructional Designer will also be responsible for conducting evaluations of instructional methods and technologies, ensuring that the courses are effective and engaging. Project management is a key aspect of this role, as the Instructional Designer will manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with faculty, colleagues, and external collaborators to ensure that deadlines and milestones are met.
