About the position

As an Instructional Designer at Oklahoma Chiller, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing training programs aimed at advancing the skills and knowledge of professionals in the Commercial HVAC industry. Your focus will be on creating effective, engaging learning experiences that help HVAC technicians meet Oklahoma Chiller's standards and excel in their roles. This position is crucial for ensuring that our training materials are not only informative but also engaging and tailored to the needs of our technicians. You will be responsible for designing and developing detailed training materials, modules, and curricula specifically for commercial HVAC systems, focusing on installation techniques, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting methods, and industry best practices. In this role, you will develop interactive and multimedia content, including e-learning modules, instructional videos, and training manuals, to support diverse learning styles and needs. You will also coordinate and implement training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually, ensuring that content delivery is engaging and effective. Assessing learning outcomes will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you will design and implement assessment tools to evaluate participants' understanding and competencies, using data to refine and improve training programs. Additionally, you will integrate safety protocols and industry best practices into training materials to foster a culture of safety and compliance among HVAC technicians. Staying current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices will be essential to ensure that the training content remains relevant and effective. Collaboration with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members will be necessary to ensure that training materials align with organizational goals and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop detailed training materials, modules, and curricula specifically for commercial HVAC systems.
  • Develop interactive and multimedia content, including e-learning modules, instructional videos, and training manuals.
  • Coordinate and implement training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually.
  • Design and implement assessment tools to evaluate participants' understanding and competencies.
  • Integrate safety protocols and industry best practices into training materials.
  • Continuously research and integrate the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices into training content.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members to ensure training materials align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science in Instructional Design, Education, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and developing technical training programs, ideally in the commercial HVAC sector.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and e-learning technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • A track record of successful project management and collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Commitment to maintaining Oklahoma Chiller's high standards of excellence.
