About the position

The IT Trainer/Content Developer position at the Georgia Department of Transportation involves delivering IT training to staff across various district locations. The role requires conducting both in-person and remote training sessions, developing training content, and managing training schedules within the Learning Management System. The candidate will collaborate with various business units to enhance training delivery and ensure effective learning experiences for adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-premise and remote IT training classes for Client staff.
• Develop and maintain IT training content including presentations, guides, and videos.
• Publish training schedules and manage learner enrollments in the Learning Management System.
• Collaborate with business units to identify training needs and increase class enrollments.
• Facilitate vendor or contractor delivered training as needed.
• Engage with technical staff to create effective training materials.
• Complete recordkeeping for tracking time, activities, and performance indicators.
• Ensure training environments are prepared prior to classes and maintain professionalism during training sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
• 2 years of experience with Adobe Captivate.
• 2 years of experience with Camtasia.
• 2 years of experience with Articulate 360/Storyline.
• 1 year of experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• 1 year of experience with Oracle LMS/Workday LMS (preferred).
• Familiarity with ServiceNow (preferred).
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

• Experience with Oracle LMS/Workday LMS.
