About the position

The Instructional Designer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will support the Center for Transformative Teaching (CTT) by providing consultations on teaching, course design, and technology for various learning environments. This role emphasizes collaboration with faculty and other instructional designers to implement innovative teaching strategies and enhance student learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide teaching, course design, and technology consultations to faculty for in-person, blended, and online learning environments.
  • Collaborate with other instructional designers to implement CTT priorities, programs, and initiatives.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies to promote successful and inclusive student learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with program, college, and other University units on projects that advance teaching innovation and excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, curriculum and instruction, or related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a combination of teaching, instructional design, educational technologies, course development, or related areas.
  • Experience working with learning management systems and course design and development.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of learning theories, instructional design, and inclusive pedagogy.
