About the position

The Instructional Designer at USA Health is responsible for developing, organizing, and overseeing educational and training materials and programs for the health system. This role focuses on enhancing clinical education, updating clinical applications, and training new residents and medical students. The designer collaborates with various departments and subject matter experts to create effective learning content and utilizes Learning Management Systems to improve educational operations.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes, and oversees education and training materials and programs for the health system.
• Plans all educational events and participates in seminars and workshops.
• Coordinates with various departments for all education requests.
• Works with subject matter experts (SMEs) to storyboard and write content focused on learning and performance objectives.
• Develops computer-based courseware appropriate for users.
• Maintains professional knowledge and skills through journal reading and educational programs.
• Collaborates with departments to utilize Learning Management Systems to improve operations and workflow.
• Books resources and manages registrations for educational events.
• Tests functionality and updates education content.
• Troubleshoots end-user problem areas related to learning management systems.
• Ensures regular and prompt attendance and ability to work defined schedules and additional hours as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree in instructional design or related field from an accredited institution, or a bachelor's degree with two years of related experience.
• Experience using interactive content creation tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is highly preferred.
