About the position

The Instructional Designer at Allegiant Travel Company is responsible for developing engaging Computer-Based Training (CBTs) that comply with company regulatory requirements. This role involves collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives and create high-quality learning experiences based on cognitive science principles. The Instructional Designer will also test training materials and troubleshoot courses to ensure effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced technical courses using Instructional Design methodologies and ADDIE models.
• Create innovative learning solutions that are aesthetically pleasing and educational.
• Write and develop engaging learning objectives, exercises, scenarios, and assessments based on various resources.
• Determine measures to assess learning retention accurately.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance training materials.
• Learn and utilize the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Participate in ongoing process improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in developing computer-based training materials using course authoring software.
• Minimum one year of experience with graphic design software including Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Experience creating instructional content using instructional design models.
