About the position

As an Instructional Designer at Booz Allen, you will play a pivotal role in developing training programs that are essential for transforming national security. Your primary responsibility will be to create interactive courses that effectively teach critical tradecraft, ensuring that the educational tools and processes are impactful and tailored to the needs of your customers. You will collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions that align with their missions. In this position, you will focus on learner-centered instructional design, crafting asynchronous training materials that engage learners effectively. Utilizing the ADDIE model, you will work alongside graphic artists to develop high-quality training content. Your creativity and technical skills will be crucial as you explore innovative instructional design ideas, leveraging cutting-edge multimedia technologies to create an engaging learning environment, whether in a classroom or online. Communication will be key in this role, as you will regularly meet with SMEs to discuss the learning materials and incorporate their feedback into your designs. To ensure the effectiveness of your training solutions, you will employ evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model to assess results and make necessary adjustments for maximum impact. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SMEs to identify training needs and recommend learning solutions.
  • Design and develop asynchronous training materials using the ADDIE model.
  • Work with graphic artists to create engaging training content.
  • Utilize multimedia technologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Meet with SMEs to discuss learning materials and incorporate feedback.
  • Collect and analyze training results using evaluation methodologies like the Kirkpatrick Model.
  • Continuously research and implement new innovations in learning design and education.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in creating high-quality, interactive learning solutions for various delivery methods.
  • 1+ years of experience with instructional strategy and design methodologies for adult learners.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and delivering instruction for online training platforms.
  • Proficient in creating learning models, writing learning objectives, and designing delivery formats.
  • Experience in assessing training effectiveness and implementing feedback.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the intelligence community and open-source intelligence analysis.
  • Knowledge of the Air Force.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver online instruction.
  • Bachelor's degree.
