About the position

The Learning Experience Specialist at Marvin is responsible for designing and developing innovative learning content and experiences that align with strategic business goals. This role requires collaboration on cross-functional projects to create impactful learning solutions, utilizing skills in adult learning, instructional design, and multimedia development.

Responsibilities

• Participates in cross-functional projects, including intake, needs analysis, project planning, and managing stakeholders to deliver timely learning solutions.
• Outlines the concept for a course or curriculum, defining learning needs and objectives, course content, content delivery vehicles, learner knowledge assessments, and complementary learning approaches.
• Synthesizes and writes course content based on input from subject matter experts and existing materials.
• Creates a variety of materials including eLearning courses, videos, presentations, facilitator guides, and participant guides.
• Holds content review meetings with managers and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and alignment with learning goals.
• Reviews and tests content in the LMS to ensure proper functionality and relevance.
• Establishes and tracks metrics to assess training effectiveness and provide insights to management.
• Identifies ways to foster collaborative learning environments and enhance the organization's learning presence.
• Acts in a forward-thinking manner when designing instructional programs, adhering to adult learning principles and instructional design theory.
• Fosters positive interdepartmental relationships to support education product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design and creating learning content from start to finish.
• Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate) and Learning Management Systems.
• Experience with Vyond and Adobe Suite.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to simplify complex subject matters into conversational language.
• Skilled in organizing information into categories and creating a narrative.
