About the position

The Learning Consultant position at Upbound Group is a full-time role focused on managing the design and development of projects that facilitate a blended learning approach. This role is essential in engaging, equipping, and empowering coworkers across the organization. The Learning Consultant will be responsible for creating high-quality, innovative deliverables, including instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, and micro-learning options. These deliverables will address learning opportunities at both corporate and field locations, ensuring they are completed within specified project timeframes. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, as the Learning Consultant will work closely with team members and various departments to identify solutions and achieve project goals. Effective communication is crucial, as the consultant will need to maintain a constructive two-way flow of information with the team and subject matter experts regarding all assigned projects. The consultant will also manage projects and timelines, ensuring the quality of their work adheres to established project plans, quality assurance protocols, and company standards. In addition to project management, the Learning Consultant will review and assess current project content and delivery methods. They will make recommendations for enhancements based on external learnings, best practices, and evolving organizational needs. The role requires excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize competing projects and initiatives. The Learning Consultant will also perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the learning initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality innovative deliverables, including instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, and micro-learning options.
  • Collaborate with team members and departments to identify solutions and achieve project goals.
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with the team and subject matter experts.
  • Manage projects and timelines while ensuring quality adherence to established project plans and company standards.
  • Review and assess current project content and delivery methods, making recommendations for enhancements.
  • Demonstrate excellent organization skills, time management, and task flexibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in the design and development of learning plans.
  • Proven working knowledge of adult learning theories.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, multi-tasking, creativity, writing, and communication skills (bilingual preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven result orientation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology-based training solutions, such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with other design or development programs such as Go Animate, Camtasia, and Lectora.
