About the position

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Instructional Designer to develop learning materials for various training environments, including in-person, virtual, and blended formats. This role involves managing internal training websites and requires a blend of communication, writing, and visual design skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop course content including presentations, learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
• Create virtual learning content such as eLearning courses and instructor-led courses.
• Develop instructor lesson plans, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
• Edit and proofread materials for grammar, format, style, accuracy, and consistency.
• Create graphics and other visuals for training materials and websites.
• Write and edit content for the internal training platform and team website.
• Collaborate with internal partners to maintain and upgrade the internal training platform.
• Support other instructional design team activities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (or similar).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint or other website design platforms.
