About the position

As an Instructional Designer at Southern New Hampshire University, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-quality online learning experiences across various programs and disciplines. Collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-departmental partners, you will ensure that learning experiences meet institutional standards for quality and rigor while supporting the success of students and faculty. This position offers the flexibility of remote work in approved states, allowing you to contribute to the university's mission of transforming lives through education.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality, technically complex, scalable online learning experiences in collaboration with academic partners and subject matter experts.
  • Manage the schedule and quality of each project and associated deliverables.
  • Design high-quality and valid assessments to evaluate evidence of learning for both formative and summative performances.
  • Engage in ongoing quality reviews and participate in data-informed assessments of learning experiences to identify areas for improvement.
  • Independently manage multiple project timelines and available resources while driving towards ongoing process efficiencies in instructional design efforts.
  • Apply instructional design skills, relevant learning theories, and knowledge of learning technologies to create high-quality learning experiences across varied delivery modalities.
  • Adhere to standards for learning experience build specifications within the LMS and experiment with new standards in collaboration with LMS experts.

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in online instructional design or teaching and learning
