The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, creating, and updating training materials specifically for electronic health record implementations, as directed by the team lead. This role involves the development of both instructor-led and printable training materials, as well as computer-based training (CBT) to support the release of new software. The Instructional Designer will work as part of a remote team, demonstrating flexibility to switch roles as projects progress and adapting to the needs of the team and the project requirements. In this position, the Instructional Designer will apply adult learning theories and methodologies to design, develop, update, and maintain various training courses, assessments, and supplemental materials. The role requires adherence to an established Style Guide for training content creation and the utilization of Microsoft Word templates to produce facilitator guides, job aids, user guides, and other printable materials. Additionally, the Instructional Designer will employ Rapid Development Software such as Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate to create storyboards and develop interactive computer-based courseware, including branching and decision trees. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Instructional Designer will work closely with Subject Matter Experts, functional analysts, solution architects, clinicians, and application owners to develop course content. The position also involves reviewing, compiling, and analyzing assessment and evaluation data to make informed recommendations for training modifications. Active participation in peer review sessions is expected, with the goal of providing constructive feedback to enhance the team's products and services. The Instructional Designer will interact with multiple vendor partners, coworkers, and government clients from a remote work setting, attending meetings to facilitate internal and external collaboration. Hosting review sessions with the government client to capture and receive input on training materials is also a critical aspect of this role. Overall, the Instructional Designer will support team ideas and initiatives that contribute to the success of the customer program or project.
