About the position

The Instructional Designer at Burlington Stores will play a crucial role in the Learning & Development team, focusing on designing, developing, and delivering effective learning programs that align with the company's talent strategy. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to create engaging learning solutions that support the growth and success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify needs and recommend learning solutions.
  • Lead learning design projects through the entire design lifecycle, including project scoping, research, analysis, design, development, and implementation.
  • Recommend appropriate learning delivery methods to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Develop audio, visual, and interactive media aids to support business objectives.
  • Partner with application facilitators/coaches for continuous improvement of existing learning content and development of new content.
  • Review existing content for relevance and updates.
  • Provide exemplary internal customer service and ownership of learning deliverables.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork through relationship building and effective collaboration.
  • Facilitate in-person and/or virtual instructor-led events as required.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in designing learning materials including classroom and e-learning.
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and training design models applicable to corporate learning.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple overlapping projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Canva, and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems, with Workday Learning experience being a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, preferably in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Education.
