Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking experienced Instructional Designers to join our team primarily supporting a United States Department of Defense customer at Pope Army Airfield, NC. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and organizing training content that meets the technical and operational needs of the customer. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Adult Education Specialists, and Instructors, the Instructional Designer will ensure that all training materials are pedagogically sound, engaging, and aligned with mission-critical objectives. The role involves designing and developing training content, including lesson plans, practical exercises, and assessments. The Instructional Designer will collaborate with SMEs to ensure that all course content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date with the latest technological and operational developments. Additionally, the designer will work with Adult Education Specialists to ensure that course materials are aligned with best practices for adult education and designed for a variety of learning styles. The position also requires the development and maintenance of online and in-person training materials, ensuring seamless integration with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational platforms. The Instructional Designer will create and refine blended learning modules, combining virtual learning with in-residence and mobile training team (MTT) instruction. Furthermore, the designer will design interactive training aids such as simulations, group projects, and practical exercises that reinforce key learning objectives. Ongoing course maintenance and updates will be necessary to ensure that all training materials remain relevant to evolving operational requirements and technologies. Collaboration with Instructors is essential to ensure they are equipped with the instructional aids necessary to deliver content effectively, and to assist in the evaluation and improvement of their teaching methods.
