Genesis10 is currently seeking an Instructional Designer for a 12+ month contract position with our client located in Charlotte, NC. This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work location. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge. This position requires collaboration with subject matter experts to identify the training needs of the target audience and to state instructional end goals that align with organizational objectives. The designer will visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and the finished product, conducting thorough instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts. They will provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and work directly with managers, SMEs, Learning and Development Specialists, and other project team members to design, develop, and deliver training solutions across various mediums, including classroom instruction, eLearning, video, and job aids. In addition, the Instructional Designer will conduct the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of eLearning, classroom learning (both live and virtual), blended learning, and informal learning. They will plan, organize, and develop training curricula, materials, and programs tailored to meet specific learning needs, ensuring that learning solutions align with organizational goals and priorities. The role also involves applying instructional design theories, standards, and best practices to produce effective learning and development solutions while managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables according to approved project plans. The designer will analyze training trends and business needs by examining learner satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance metrics, while also keeping abreast of emerging learning technologies to drive design and development within the teams. Coordination with outside contractors and vendors may also be required as part of this role.
