About the position

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to lead our innovative cross-training "University" program within a growing senior living organization. This role is pivotal in enabling our employees to diversify their knowledge of senior living and advance their careers through lateral and diagonal movements within the organization. The Instructional Designer will work closely with leadership to conceptualize, curate, and implement a comprehensive educational program that will serve as a cornerstone for employee development. This program is not just a task; it will be the designer's own initiative, allowing for creativity and strategic thinking in shaping the future of our workforce. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a lattice pathway program that facilitates associate career progression. This includes selecting appropriate training methodologies, overseeing the program review and approval process, and managing instructional projects. The designer will also recommend enhancements and improvements to departmental processes to ensure the program remains effective and relevant. Additionally, the role requires travel to various communities to provide guidance and professional development in training sessions across the organization, ensuring that all employees receive the support they need to thrive in their roles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement lattice pathway program for associate career progression.
  • Select appropriate training methodology for the program.
  • Complete program review, approval, and implementation process.
  • Manage instructional projects and recommend enhancements and improvements of department processes.
  • Travel to communities to provide guidance and professional development in trainings across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in development/delivery of adult training required.
  • 10+ years of experience in training development and implementation in a corporate setting.
  • Group presentation/facilitation skills are essential.
  • E-learning software knowledge is a must.
  • Knowledge of the senior living industry and understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
