About the position

The position involves providing learning solutions that align with the strategic goals of the Company and the needs of the business. The role ensures the effective design, creation, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive learning and development programs, specifically focusing on E-learning and in-house instructional programs.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops and publishes complex E-learning and classroom content.
  • Creates audio scripts, edits audio/video and maintains curriculum to ensure it is current.
  • Develops training content utilizing appropriate E-learning authoring tools.
  • Uploads curriculum and creates learning events in the LMS.
  • Develops engaging web-based E-learning solutions that meet the latest instructional design and appropriate media standards.
  • Collaborates closely with subject matter experts from all areas, department team members and company leaders to design, create, deliver and evaluate learning and development programs.
  • Converts electronic and print-based training content into meaningful, interactive and engaging E-learning material.
  • Creates graphics, animations, videos and other visual elements to enhance learning and development programs.
  • Integrates and edits audio voiceover and sound to enhance E-learning.
  • Tests and validates all aspects of the E-learning development (text, content, interactivity, functionality) prior to moving programs into production.
  • Facilitates virtual and in-person training courses.
  • Possesses working knowledge of Organizational Learning software and acts as a backup to LMS Administrator.
  • Identifies best learning solutions to address the developmental gaps for employees.
  • Evaluates and updates all programs on a regular basis through the timely solicitation of input and feedback from SMEs and business partners.
  • Partners with Business Unit leaders to secure support and to identify appropriate training.
  • Resolves technical difficulties with E-learning authoring tools or LMS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in developing E-learning and classroom training to include training design, development and delivery experience in a corporate environment.
  • Utility experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent ability to organize, plan, manage, execute and evaluate projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, decision making, problem solving and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone various Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Advanced skills using Captivate or Articulate Storyline required.
  • Advanced skills using PowerPoint and working knowledge of other MS Office tools.
