About the position

The Instructional Designer at Kroger is responsible for creating effective learning solutions that align with business needs and produce measurable results. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to design and develop learning materials that adhere to adult learning principles and quality standards. The position requires innovation in developing responsive learning solutions to address emerging technologies and diverse learning populations across different facets of the company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers, learning strategists, senior instructional designers, SMEs, and development teams to create effective learning solutions.
• Design and develop learning solutions that adhere to adult learning principles and quality standards.
• Incorporate interactive materials for various delivery systems.
• Innovate new learning solutions to address emerging technologies and shifting learning populations.
• Ensure solutions are instructionally sound and meet quality standards.
• Manage deliverable timelines and project plans across multiple projects.
• Perform analysis to determine project scope, learning objectives, and best training methodologies.
• Research effective training solutions and stay updated on instructional design methodologies.
• Provide regular communication to project teams, business owners, and stakeholders regarding project status and updates.
• Assist in identifying evaluation methods and tools to measure training results.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of instructional design and analysis methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong information gathering and rapport-building skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in instructional design or education.

• Experience using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud.
