As an Instructional Designer with Pathfinder, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and improving all internal and external learning opportunities and courses. This position involves collaborating closely with the Training Manager to implement new methodologies and delivery technologies that are essential for the development of programs provided to our members and the community. Your work will directly impact the quality of training and education that our organization offers, ensuring that we maintain our commitment to providing platinum service. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that not only enhances retention but also facilitates the transfer of knowledge. You will work with business subject matter experts to identify the training needs of the target audience and design content and tools that effectively impact portfolio performance. Utilizing instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, you will visualize instructional graphics, user interfaces, and the final product, ensuring that all materials are interactive and effective. You will also conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and content, applying proven instructional design theories and practices to develop courses that are both engaging and educational. This includes providing gamification, knowledge assessments, exercises, and activities that enhance the learning process. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing a variety of instructional materials for traditional instructor-led courses, online programs, and web-based learning aids. Staying updated on emerging instructional technologies, such as augmented reality software, will be crucial as you make recommendations for future enhancements. This position is fully remote, with minimal travel required (up to 5% of the time) to our headquarters in Texas.
