About the position

The Instructional Designer (Learning Partner III) at Woodward, Inc. is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and governance of high-quality learning experiences and content. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to create scalable learning programs, including eLearning courses, graphic illustrations, and on-the-job training materials. The designer will work across various stakeholder groups to assess training needs and ensure adherence to instructional design principles, web accessibility, and inclusive learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify learning and development needs and develop effective, engaging, and accessible solutions.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality learning content, working with subject matter experts to design scalable programs.
  • Target, tailor, and humanize compliance training using Adaptive Learning principles.
  • Design blended and online learning experiences across multiple modalities, ensuring optimal integration into learning platforms.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide support for global learning initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective learning processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Learning, Digital Technology, Information Technology, Instructional Design or related fields; or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, Snagit, Audacity, Auphonic, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems, preferably Workday and Seertech.
  • Knowledge of user experience principles and instructional design models.
  • Experience in creating multilingual, ADA-compliant learning experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in working in a global and matrixed organization.
  • Experience in technical or manufacturing instructional design.
