About the position

The Instructional Designer at Business Integra Inc. is responsible for developing and designing training materials tailored for adult learners, particularly in the context of social services programs. This role involves researching and evaluating case management software to create effective learning materials, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the quality and effectiveness of training content, and leading training sessions in multiple formats.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop curriculum and training materials for adult learners.
• Research and evaluate case management software to translate functionality into learning materials.
• Assist with scheduling and quality assurance checks on developed training materials.
• Collaborate with training developers, subject matter experts, and technical support to ensure effective training materials.
• Develop dynamic instructional training materials using interactions and simulations.
• Lead training sessions in various formats including in-person, virtual, and webinars.
• Evaluate student progress and provide recommendations for continued training participation.
• Prepare for and conduct classroom training, including facility management and course scheduling.

Requirements

• Experience in curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners.
• Strong understanding of social services programs.
• 5 years of experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle.
• 5 years of experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in instructional design and computer-based training.
• Proficiency in software such as Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and Photoshop.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with XML and HTML.
• Familiarity with Adobe FrameMaker and Visio.
• Experience in business analysis.
